To Do Lists With Style

Ambiance (finding beauty everyday)

I always have a to do list sitting on my kitchen counter. I generally make a list each morning as I drink my coffee of the things I'd like to accomplish that day, then as things come up throughout the day, I add them to my list. Best of all, I get to cross off all the things I've done. What a feeling of accomplishment!! These lists are written on scratch paper, usually re-using the back of something the kids used for school. Last week, while shopping at Ross, I came across this beautiful set of Laura Ashley notepads. They came with a bright colored holder. Twelve pads, each with a month of the year written on a beautiful Laura Ashley pattern, 40 pages in each, and a magnet on the back. Now my to do list adds a bit of style, beauty and color to my day.

See how others live a beautiful life at The Inspired Room.

I'm an avid supporter of making lists!

Some of my notes are on pretty paper, but most of the time, I scratch a note on a paper bag or the back of an envelope. It seems the pretty papers are always in the place where I'm not, when I need to make a note.

I make lists for everything...right down to trip itineraries.

I like to use a pretty little spiral notebook. Then, when I am having a cruddy day, I can look back and see all that I have accomplished in the previous days.

I haven't been good about using my lists for over a year. It is my goal this year to get back to it as it really helps keep me motivated. besides that, it helps conserve the little gray cells for other more important things than "do Tim's laundry".

I really love the idea of having a pretty notepad for your to do list and keeping it on the counter. I tend to grab whatever paper I can find, which is likely the back of a school paper or envelope. If I had a pretty notepad on the counter I would be so happy. No more lost notes and so much classier than scraps of paper!!

Happy day,
Melissa
